CBS announced Wednesday that it will broadcast a live episode of the late-night show following Super Bowl 50 on Feb. 7. According to the network, it's the first time in history that a late-night show will air in the post-Super Bowl time slot.
Colbert will not be on site for the big game in Santa Clara, Calif. Instead, the episode will be broadcast from the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York. It will be followed by a special edition of "The Late Late Show with James Corden."
