Cartoon Art Museum loses long-time lease in San Francisco

The Cartoon Art Museum will be leaving its home in downtown San Francisco at the end of June, but staff doesn't know where it will go next.

Curator Andrew Farago told the San Francisco Chronicle ( ) that the price to stay in the current location would double, forcing the museum to pack up on June 28. It is the only museum in the Western United States devoted exclusively to cartoons, comics and animation.
