'Carol' dominates New York Film Critics Circle Awards

Todd Haynes' drama Carol dominated the New York Film Critics Circle Awards with four major awards including best picture and best director, the critics group announced on Wednesday.

The New York City based story of a rich 1950s housewife (Cate Blanchett) who has an affair with a store clerk (Rooney Mara) was also nominated for best screenplay and best cinematographer (Edward Lachman).
