If you needed any further proof as to how important directors Joe and Anthony Russo are to the Marvel cinematic universe, then let this be it. The pair, who so far have made Captain America: The Winter Soldier for the studio, are about to start shooting Captain America: Civil War. And now it's been confirmed that they're set to take over from Joss Whedon on The Avengers movies.
Whedon is just polishing off this summer's Avengers: Age Of Ultron. But for Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 and Avengers: Infinity War Part 2, the mantle is passing to the Russos. The films are expected to shoot across 2016 and 2017.
