Canada Manufacturing Sales Decline on Petroleum Plunge

OTTAWA—Canadian factory shipments fell in January, nearly reversing the previous month’s advance, as sales for petroleum and coal products plunged to their lowest level in nearly six years.

Manufacturing sales declined 1.7% from a month earlier to 51.42 billion Canadian dollars ($40.23 billion), Statistics Canada said Tuesday.
