Scientists believe that using aerosols to build up clouds and reflect sunlight back into space would be a very risky option that could radically alter the Earth’s climate.

Scientists are mulling a number of ways to deal with the problem of global warming, and one of them involves pumping aerosols into the stratosphere to reflect sunlight back into space — however, a recent study says that action would be risky and less effective than reducing carbon emissions.
