Cameron Forced to Dash to Vote Over EU Arrest Warrant

U.K. Prime Minister David Cameron had to race back to Parliament from a speech on Britain’s foreign policy after the opposition Labour Party forced an early vote on the disputed European Union arrest-warrant system.

Cameron’s journey from the Lord Mayor’s Banquet at the Guildhall, on the other side of central London, came after three hours of chaos in Parliament that opened with a clash between Home Secretary Theresa May and the House of Commons speaker, John Bercow, over the meaning of the motion under debate.
