State transportation officials have chosen Kiewit Infrastructure to help design and build up to $140 million in flood repairs to U.S. 34 in the Big Thompson Canyon west of Loveland.

The Transportation Department said Friday the project covers 23 miles of highway that was damaged in the September 2013 flood. Work is expected to be completed by the end of 2017.
