Buckwheat Returns | Julia Lee

This weekend, Eddie Murphy returns to Saturday Night Live to celebrate the show's 40th anniversary. Murphy left the show in 1984 and hasn't been back in over 30 years. One of his most popular SNL characters was Buckwheat, the big-haired, marble-mouthed kid from "The Little Rascals," the old-fashioned children's show once ubiquitous on TV.

In his first appearance as Buckwheat, Murphy shilled a compilation album called "Buh-weet Sings." He sampled songs like "Fee Times a Mady" (Three Times a Lady), "Wookin Pa Nub" (Looking For Love), "Una Panoonah Banka" (Una Paloma Blanca), and "??????" (Betty Davis Eyes).
