Students at Brookings High School are set to receive laptops this fall thanks to a technology plan aiming to improve instruction and academic achievement.
Providing the devices to every ninth- to 12th-grader at the school is expected to cost about $327,000. The Brookings Register (http://bit.ly/1yboRoM ) reports nearly $100,000 of the school's tech budget will help pay for the Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga laptops, which also can be folded into tablet form.
