LONDON – British officials have welcomed the return home of a British man who had faced flogging in Saudi Arabia after being imprisoned for making wine.
Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond said Wednesday he is "pleased" that 74-year-old Karl Andree has been reunited with his family in Britain. Hammond had sought Andree's release during a visit to Saudi Arabia last month. The case had strained relations between Britain and Saudi Arabia.
