Brazil said Monday that U.S., Canadian, Australian and Japanese citizens will be able to visit Brazil without a visa for 90 days from the lead-up to the Rio 2016 Olympics to the conclusion of the Paralympic Games.

Brazilian Tourism Minister Henrique Eduardo Alves said the hope is that the temporary visa waiver program, which runs from June 1 until September 18, will increase leisure travel from the four countries to Brazil by 20 percent over the three-month period.
