'Boyhood' named film of the year by BAFTAs

"Boyhood," director Richard Linklater's coming-of-age story filmed over a dozen years, was named the best film of last year Sunday at the British Academy Film Awards, better known as the BAFTAs.

Linklater won the director honors, and "Boyhood's" Patricia Arquette received the supporting actress award from the British Academy of Film and Television Arts' annual ceremony at the Royal Opera House in London.
