This is what border control looks like in Germany

Europeans are used to zipping across borders by car, train or on foot, thanks to the Schengen treaty, which ensures free movement in 26 European countries, 22 of which belong to the European Union. But on Sunday, Germany, Austria and Slovakia reintroduced border controls in an attempt to slow down an influx of the refugees. The move has created scenes that many Europeans haven’t seen in years.

Commuters on their way from Austria to Germany have had to wait up to two hours in a traffic jams.
