'Black or White': Kevin Costner and Octavia Spencer square off over race and custody issues (review)

CLEVELAND, Ohio – "Black or White" certainly has its heart in the right place. It dares to spend two hours of feature film time fomenting conversations about race relations and skewed perceptions. It also champions the best interests of the child when it comes to raising a young girl.

But it is a little too obvious in its themes and characters, a little too heavy-handed with its message.
