Biologists Discover New Frog Species in New York

Although New York City is one of the most populated cities of the world, with approximately 8.4 million citizens, biologists were surprised by nature’s resourcefulness.

They discovered a new leopard frog species, which they dubbed the urban leopard frog, or the Rana kauffeldi. Jeremy Feinberg, Rutgers University professor in New Jersey, leader of the study, reported the discovery after being attracted by the peculiar mating calls he heard every once in a while.
