Vice President Biden on Wednesday delivered an emotional appeal to hundreds of medical researchers whose support is needed for his “moonshot” bid to find a cure for cancer.
“Cancer touches everyone in some way. Almost every one of us in here has lost someone relatively close to us,” Biden said as he kicked off the administration’s cancer moonshot summit in Washington, D.C. “We’re all here because we can do something about it.”
