Ben Haenow's 'Something I Need' No. 1 debut in U.K.; Olly Murs' 'Up' is No. 4

As expected, "The X Factor" U.K. 2014 winner Ben Haenow has debuted at No. 1 with his first single: a cover version of OneRepublic's "Something I Need," for the week ending Dec. 27, 2014, according to the Official Charts Company. Ever since "The X Factor" U.K. debuted in 2004, all of the winners from the show have had their respective first singles hit No. 1 in the U.K. (But that early success does not mean longevity with Syco Music/Sony Music, the company that signs "X Factor" winners, since most of the winners end up getting dropped by Sony.) It remains to be seen what kind of post-"X Factor" career that Haenow will have. Haenow was named this year's "X Factor" U.K. winner on Dec. 14, 2014.
