A wave of arrests took place late Thursday in Belgium and France as a manhunt continued after this week's suicide bombings at an airport and metro station in Brussels that killed 31 people and wounded 270.

Six people were detained following raids connected with the attacks, federal prosecutors in Belgium said. The arrests took place in the Jette and Schaerbeek neighborhood of Brussels amid house-to-house searches.
