Bay County lags behind in state health rankings

BAY COUNTY — Bay County is ranked slightly less healthy than the state average in several areas of well-being but has made improvements over the past few years, according to a report by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute.

In the sixth annual County Health Rankings released Wednesday, Bay County was ranked 42 out of 67 Florida counties on overall health factors. Bay County was ranked 38 in 2014 and 32 in 2013 on health factors.
