Suspected Islamist militants armed with axes or knives hacked a local employee of a U.S. charity and his friend to death Monday, Bangladeshi police said.
One of the victims, Xulhaz Mannan, was in his 30s and worked for the charity USAID, an unidentified detective on the case told NBC News.
