Band's star, injured in bus crash, to have hand surgery

DENVER — The star of a band whose tour bus was involved in a wreck last week in suburban Denver will have reconstructive surgery on his hand and must postpone at least a dozen tour dates in the western U.S. and overseas, according to a statement issued Monday.

George Lewis Jr., a Dominican-American who is the face of the indie-pop Twin Shadow, will have surgery this week, the band's statement said. Tour bus driver John Crawford, 41, and Twin Shadow drummer Andy Bauer, whose age was not immediately available, remain in serious condition.
