Bald eagles poisoned at Fla. landfill

OCALA — On February 2, two bald eagles were found near death at a landfill in Marion County. Once has since died, while the other is still recovering. They were poisoned, but not in the way you would expect.

As the Ocala Post reports, the bald eagles were poisoned by a chemical called phenobarbital. This drug is commonly used to euthanize animals.
