Bald Eagles Found in Southern California

After more than 50 years, a pair of bald eagles has been found in the San Clemente Island off the Southern California. The bald eagles vanished from the region after the DDT poisoning in the 1960s and the authorities took steps to ban DDT.

The National Park Service announced that a pair of bald eagles has been spotted in the Clemente Island. As per official records, bald eagles have been recently noticed in five of the eight islands on the Channel Islands.
