Autistic child improves on antibiotics; father seeks research into brain-gut bacteria

John Rodakis, a molecular biologist, has called for more research into the connection between the brain and gut bacteria after his autistic child improved significantly after taking prescription antibiotic amoxicillin.

Rodakis’ son was put on prescription antibiotic amoxillin to help treat him for his strep throat, but the boy’s autistic condition improved and he started making eye contact and his speech improved, and again he seemed to have inner energy and personal drive to get things done and to impress others....
