Australia shares expected to edge higher; NZ firm

SYDNEY, June 9 Australian shares are expected to inch higher on Thursday, tracking gains on Wall Street following perceived dovish comments from the Federal Reserve chief and firmer oil prices.

The local share price index futures rose 0.2 percent to 5,383, a 13-point premium to the underlying S&P/ASX 200 index close. The benchmark barely changed on Wednesday.
