Audit to review $5M in UH football stadium costs

The University of Houston is investigating how $5 million was used toward the construction of a new football stadium that has cost more than initially projected.

Chancellor Renu Khator announced an internal audit Friday that's meant to ensure the $5 million is being used for the academic purpose of building classrooms at the stadium for the band. But the stadium has already opened for the Cougars season and the classrooms have not been built.
