AstroMesh-Lite® Reflector a Key Feature of SMAP

NASA successfully launched the Soil Moisture Active Passive (SMAP) spacecraft on January 30 from Vandenberg Air Force Base. The spacecraft would provide global measurements of soil moisture. There are many unique features in the probe. It will use a combined radiometer and high-resolution radar to measure surface soil moisture. One of them is the new AstroMesh-Lite® reflector. The reflector produced by Astro Aerospace, a Northrop Grumman NOC, is highly suitable for high-frequency communications and radar applications.
