Asian Stocks Mostly Higher Ahead of Chinese Data

Asian stock markets were mostly higher Monday as investors looked ahead to Chinese economic and trade data for signs of whether Beijing will launch new stimulus.

KEEPING SCORE: The Shanghai Composite Index gained 1.4 percent to 4,089.11 and Hong Kong's Hang Seng rose 0.4 percent to 27,371.22. Seoul's Kospi added 0.1 percent to 2,090.54 and Sydney's S&P ASX 200 rose 0.2 percent to 5,981.80. Singapore also rose. Tokyo's Nikkei 225 shed 0.1 percent to 19,882.42...
