Ashkenazi Jews Have Their Roots in a Group of People Who Lived 600 to 800 Years Ago

A team of international researchers carried out a study which suggested that Ashkenazi Jews have their roots in a group of nearly 330 people who lived almost 600 to 800 years ago.

"Ashkenaz" in Hebrew refers to Germany, and Ashkenazi Jews are people who have originated in Eastern Europe. And according to the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, almost 80% of the modern Jews have Ashkenazi ancestry.
