Apple Inc. stock has been hit by the blue-chip jinx, as it has been losing ground to AT&T Inc. shares since the hip technology giant replaced the old-school telecommunications company in the Dow Jones Industrial Average two months ago.
Since the swap became effective after the market closed on March 18, Apple’s stock AAPL, -0.28% has tacked on $1.83, or 1.4%, through morning trade Tuesday, while AT&T shares T, -0.16% have climbed 88 cents, or 2.6%. Over the same time, the Dow DJIA, -0.12% has advanced about 241 points, or 1.3%.
