Nearly one in three patients in a Canadian province failed to fill a prescription for clopidogrel in the days after receiving a coronary stent, and over the next month these patients suffered heart attacks at three times the rate and died at five times the rate of patients who promptly filled their prescriptions for the drug, researchers reported.
