Antares rocket explosion caused by faulty engine

David Thompson, chief executive of commercial spaceflight contractor Orbital Sciences revealed that engine failure caused the explosion of Orbital Sciences’ Antares rocket seconds after its liftoff. The Antares rocket liftoff at the Wallops Island Flight Facility in Virginia last week.

The rocket was bound to resupply the ISS (International Space Station) and was carrying 5,000 pounds of equipment and supplies.
