Antarctica may have just witnessed its hottest day in recorded history

Antarctica may recently have witnessed its hottest day ever when the temperature hit a record high of 63.5 degrees Fahrenheit (17.5°C).

According to the Weather Underground blog, the abovementioned temperature was recorded last Tuesday at the Esperanza base, which is situated at the Antarctic Peninsula’s northernmost tip.
