Anne Frank exhibition inspires a panel at the Koubek Center

Anne Frank: A History for Today is a traveling exhibition about the too-short life of the Dutch teen whose dreams and courage during World War II inspired generations. Presented by the New York-based Anne Frank Center USA in conjunction with Miami’s Consulate General of the Netherlands, the exhibition is on display at Miami Dade College’s Koubek Center through April 3. It moves to the Freedom Tower, 600 Biscayne Blvd., April 8-26, then to Florida International University’s Miami Beach Urban Studios, 420 Lincoln Rd., April 28-May 22.

One facet of the exhibition, which is aimed at illustrating the dangerous consequences of intolerance, details the failed attempts of patriarch Otto Frank — the only one to survive the war — to get his family to safety in the United States or Cuba.
