The first X-ray photo of the Sun has been taken by NASA’s Nuclear Spectroscopic Telescope Array or NuSTAR, which was meant to investigate black holes.

The image shows that the sun is not the smooth ball of plasma it is believed to be. In fact, it shoots bulk of radiation off its surface.
