Ancient Scrolls charred in eruption of Vesuvius come to life

The charred content of hundreds of papyrus scrolls that were burned in the Vesuvius eruption, a great natural disaster in the history of Italy in 79 AD, may come alive.

Researchers have used a sophisticated X-Ray technology that enabled them to decipher the contents charred in the eruption that belonged to the library once housed in a sumptuous villa in ancient Herculaneum, a city that overlooked the Bay of Naples.
