CLEVELAND — Speculation about Donald Trump's running mate hit fever pitch Tuesday, as former House speaker Newt Gingrich stepped down from his commentator's job with Fox News amid talk that he might be the choice, while Trump campaigned with Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, another vice presidential possibility.
The Fox News Channel announced that it and Gingrich have agreed to suspend their contributor agreement in the wake of reports that Trump may pick the former House speaker.
