Alcohol use among humans could have picked up in ancient times

An all-new research has found that the human body’s ability to metabolize alcohol evolved around 10 million years ago, much earlier than what the scientists had previously thought.

This research was conducted by a team of scientists at Santa Fe College in Gainesville, Florida. The research sequenced the digestive enzyme that allows people to drink moderate amounts of alcohol without ill effects.
