Air emissions increase throughout state in 2013, says DEP report

The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection released a report on Monday about 2013 natural gas emissions across the state, giving data on 16 pollutants by county and by producer. In each local county, carbon dioxide was the biggest pollutant.

In McKean County, the pollutant amounts released in 2013 were as follows: Carbon dioxide at 78,456 tons; 1,123 tons of methane; 212 tons of nitrogen oxides; 141 tons of carbon monoxide; 125 tons of volatile organic compounds; and 16.6 tons of formaldehyde.
