Ailing Jimmy Carter Leaves Guyana Early, Was to Monitor Election

Former president Jimmy Cater, in Guyana to monitor elections there, left a day before the voting because he was unwell, his foundation said.

Carter, 90, was in the South American nation with other members of the Carter Center to observe the polling scheduled for Monday, May 11.
