Aggressive Cooling Adds No Benefit in Cardiac Arrest

Target temperature made no real difference in a trial of cooling strategies.

Among cardiac arrest patients who lost consciousness, survival and cognitive function were similar in those treated with hypothermic therapy to target temperatures of 33°C (91.4ºF) and 36ºC (96.8ºF) in a randomized trial.
