African American Women Have Less Favorable Outcomes with Estrogen Receptor Positive Breast Cancer

A new study suggests that African-America women who have the very specific estrogen-receptor positive (ER+) breast cancer have poorer outcomes than women of European descent. The study suggests, also, that this is partially, at least, due to a stronger survival mechanism within the cancer cells.
