80 percent of the homes in the United States are Smoke Free

The findings are discussed by Reuters and it is revealed that twice the homes in the United States are smoke-free, contrasting the values 20 years back. In the 1990s, around 43% of the homes in the U.S were smoke free and between the years 2010-2011, around 83% of homes were smoke free.

Brian King, the Lead Study Author stated that this vast change is due to a shift in social norms. Nowadays, smoking around non-smokers isn’t seen as a socially acceptable behavior.
