73% of teens have access to a smart phone

SAN FRANCISCO - If it seems like every teenager you see has a smartphone glued to their hand, it's not your imagination. Fully 73% of American teens have access to one, a study by the Pew Research Center finds.

Add in the 15% of teens who have a basic cell phone and 88% of American teens aged 13 to 17 have access to a mobile phone of some sort.
