NOAA's annual Arctic Report Card was released Dec. 17, and it backs up with fresh data what climate scientists and other researchers who study the polar region have been saying for years: the Arctic is warming twice as fast as the rest of the planet, and that is sparking changes that could have very large impacts on the rest of the world.
