6-Year Old Palestian Boy Underwent Surgery in U.S. to Walk for the First Time

Six year old Hadi Alkhadra is now walking for the time after he underwent feet surgery at the Lucille Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford in California.

Hadi, who came from a refugee camp in the West Bank, was born with knees bent the wrong way and his feet facing the wrong direction, an extreme orthopedic deformity called arthrogryposis. He had to crawl or be carried by his parents.
