Whenever blood alcohol level cross its upper limit, it shuts down brain areas that control heart rate, breathing and temperature and as a result the person dies. According to the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism there are many symptoms such as vomiting, difficulty to remain conscious, confusion, a slow heart rate, trouble in breathing and clammy skin.
