5 things we learned from Sunday night’s episode of ‘The Walking Dead’

Instead of the old-fashioned, crossbow-to-the-head zombie massacring with which we fell in love, the gang is so tired and hungry early in the episode that they opt to try to dupe a zombie horde into falling into a river. It was incredibly boring, and apparently Sasha realized it made for lame TV and broke from the plan to stab a zombie in the skull. Everyone went back to killing zombies in the traditional way, and we got to enjoy our fair share of gory zombie deaths. Phew.

Early in the episode, Darryl is so hungry that he’s reduced to eating a live worm. A live worm! It still had dirt on it and everything. And yet after Team Rick encounters a pack of robust-looking dogs that is ready to attack them, they all seem pretty grossed out by the idea of eating dog meat.
