Rain threatened throughout the day but rarely materialized, keeping the temperature in the mid-70s at its peak, a 20-degree difference from most years. That let bands like Vampire Weekend, Phoenix, Neutral Milk Hotel, Chvrches and St. Paul & the Broken Bones avoid the usual sweltering conditions of a Tennessee summer and perform in comfort.
